Three Foils was introduced by Viking in the 1957 Viking Catalog. Before this time Viking made other large items out of Glass but now they were entering a new era. The Large, Heavy, Colorful Glass Vases and Bowls were featured on page 8 of the 1957 Viking Catalog.

They only showed 7 items in the Catalog with different numbers for larger versions.

I have a 1958 Original A.L. Randall Company Catalog that listed many of these early items. Page 21 of this Catalog showed the

The above Vases and bowls were also pictured and colors available were Crystal, Amethyst, Bluenique, Charcoal, Olive Green and Persimmon.

The 1959 Viking Catalog, on page 7, showed more new items added to the 3 Foil pieces. It was now showing

#1207 - 6" Covered Candy with the 3 Foil Feet that look like big toes
#1209 - 8" Bowl with the 3 Foil Feet that look like big toes (Pictured)
#1210 - 13" Round Bowl (not a good picture with 3 small pulled up flares)
On page 8 of the same Catalog Viking pictured

The 1960 - 1962 Viking Catalogs showed most of these pieces but all were dropped by the 1964 Viking Catalog.

Conclusion:
Some of these large items sold for over $5.00 in the late 50's. There seem to be plenty of the Persimmon and Amber pieces but beyond that they thin out. I think the Ruby pieces are borderline RARE!
