The 1973 Catalog shows 15 different styles of patterns pulled from the same styled mold.
Introduced in Epic Pattern with no specific name.
Of the 15 different styles were some large flared top vases made in 8 different sizes. The largest one is the #7314 - 30 Inches Tall and has a 5.5 Inch Hexagon Base that is pictured, ONLY, on page 3 of the 1973 Viking Catalog. The one I have pictured is only 24 inches Tall but they do vary in height. At the widest part this vase is 7 inches. This vase weighs over 11 pounds.
These Vases were also made without the small stem. Just imagine the vase squashed down with no stem but still forming a "V" between the vase and the base.

The Very Rare Column Rib Funeral Vase!
This Large Vase #7314 in Bluenique is the only example of this Rare Vase that I have seen in 10 years of collecting. See the Base Photo on the left and how it is squatted compared to the smaller 4.5 inch Base Vases. At the widest the Vase is 7 inches with the Base measuring 5.5 inches. What a magnificent piece of Art Glass.
The January 1, 1973 Viking Price List on listed this vase made in the colors Bluenique, Avocado, Amber and Persimmon, not made in Ruby, Brown or Plum.

The #7315 is another huge Base Vase shown ONLY in the 1973 Viking Catalog. This Vase is 15 inches tall but the top or mouth is opened wide. It has the large 5.5 inch Hexagon Squatted Base. I am still on the lookout for this elusive large vase.
The January 1, 1973 Viking Price List on listed this vase made in the colors Bluenique, Avocado, Amber and Persimmon, not made in Ruby, Brown or Plum. These Large Funeral Vases sold for $25 each back in 1973.
I can not empasize enough how rare I think these Huge Vases are!

CONCLUSION:
Collectability is what drives the price and value of any collectable higher. It is hard for me to say just where the value of these larger Viking Glass Vases will go but UP will more than likely be the direction. The Larger than 15 inch Funeral Vases in other Glass Collectables can reach over $1,000. See the Funeral Vases in Carnival Glass on Dave Doty's website www.ddoty.com and you will be shocked at the prices.
